Take the advice of the El Dorado Police Department and lock your vehicles, please.

The city has experienced a rash of vehicle break-ins over the past couple of weeks and these crimes seem to be ones of opportunity.

The police department cautioned vehicle owners last week and the week previous to lock their vehicles.

“Vehicles should always be locked and secured,” said Capt. David Smith. “You should never leave valuables in your vehicle, and if you have to leave valuables in your vehicle, make sure they’re stored out of sight. Criminals are opportunists.” Log-In to view full story or view our Registration Guide.
