Every now and then we think about Willie Lee Hill of El Dorado.

Naturally, these thoughts occur when someone attempts to prey upon the elderly and senior citizens beat the odds and best their attackers.

Many will recall Mr. Hill’s story. A young man tried to rob and kill the then 93-year-old man in his home. Mr. Hill was beaten black and blue with a soda pop can and the butt of gun. After rummaging through his house, the punk headed back to Mr. Hill’s bedroom where he had left him after the beating.

Mr. Hill was waiting with his .38 revolver.
