    Herschel D. Holt, 91, of Lufkin, Texas, and formerly of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Lufkin.
  • KENNETH PICKETT
    Kenneth Pickett, 53, of Bossier City, La., and formerly of El Dorado, died at his residence Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, following a sudden illness.
  • JAMES McGARITY
    James “Red” McGarity, 78, of De Pere, Wisc., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at a local hospital from injuries sustained in a fall.

    Funeral for Charles Ray Cannedy, 55, of Eagle Mills, will be at 1 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Hampton with the Rev. Leon Parham officiating. Services are under the direction of Williams Funeral Home of Camden.
  • ANIE F. LITTLE
    Funeral for Janie Florene Little, 82, of Crossett, will be at 10 a.m. today at Beech Street Baptist Church with Bro. David Rice and Bro. Steven Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
  • WILLIAM A. THOMPSON
    Funeral for William Andrew “Billy” Thompson, 76, of New Edinburg, will be at 2 p.m. today at Frazer’s Chapel with the Rev. Doug Inzer officiating. Burial will be in Moseley Cemetery under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren.
