Phyliss Mae Parker, 71 of El Dorado, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2008, at Medical Center of South Arkansas following a sudden illness.

Born on Sept. 21, 1936, in Spencerville, Okla., she was the daughter of George and Clara Bell Morehead Morris. A homemaker, Phyliss was active in the American Legion Auxiliary and was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing and needlepoint.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, JoAnn Hendricks.

Survivors include James J. Parker of El Dorado; sons, James D. Parker and his wife, Shirley, of El Dorado, Shorty Parker and his wife, Angie, of Broken Bow, Okla., Larry Parker and his wife, Nona, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Roy Phillips and his wife, Georgia, of Canton, Texas; a daughter, Billie Mae Priddy and her husband, James, of Fort Towson, Okla.; a brother, Bud Morris and his wife, Barbara, of Hugo, Okla.; sisters, Skeet Johnson and her husband, Clyde, of Rattan, Okla., Jo Gardner and her husband, Billy, of Fort Towson, Thelma Dozier of Fort Towson;14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Cindy Parish; numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and loved ones.

Graveside services will be held at10 a.m. Monday, Aug.18, at Spencerville Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Walls officiating. Prater, Lampton, Mills, and Coffey Funeral Home of Hugo, Okla., is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado evening, and from 6 to 7p.m. Sunday at Prater, Lampton, Mills, and Coffey Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends at 914 Kenwood Drive.
