ZULA S. MCHORSEZula (Harbour) Smith McHorse, 96 of Magnolia, died on Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at the Springhill Medical Center in Springhill, La. She was born on Sept. 8, 1911, in Stephens, daughter of Arthur and Ella (Brannum) Harbour. Zula was a waitress and cook for various restaurants and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Louis Webster Smith and Mac McHorse; daughters Mildred Smith and Patsy Dorman Culverhouse; brothers and sisters Mable Riddle, Ray and Raymond Harbour, Ola Moore, Helen Allen, and Carlton Harbour. Survivors are her daughter, Doris Fletcher of Magnolia; a son, Charles E. Smith of Crawfordsville, Fla.; a sister, Flora McEchen of Walkerville; 12 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and longtime family friend, Clara Camp of Magnolia. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in Frazier Cemetery with Bro. Virgil Jones officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia. Visitation will be open house today at the home of her daughter, Doris Fletcher, 2900 Columbia Road 27 South, Magnolia.
