Karen L. Britt Williams, 53, of Camden, and formerly of Hope, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008, in Hope.

The daughter of Wilson and Margaret Claudean Stewart Britt, she was born Dec. 7, 1954, in Hope. She was a former ad manager of the Hope Star and the El Dorado News-Times, working in both sales and public relations. She was also a former employee of the former Tex-Ark Joist in Hope and the former Spears Carpet Mill in Hope. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Camden and a member of the Steering Committee with the Daffodil Festival in Camden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Britt; and one niece, Stephanie Britt Skidmore.

Survivors include her husband, Mark O. Williams of Camden; one son, Bryan L. Williams of Little Rock, one step-daughter, Jenna Tucker of El Dorado; her mother, Claudean S. Britt of Hope; and two sisters, Linda O’Sullivan of Destrahan, La., and Lori Alberson of Hope.

Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 3, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel in Hope with the Rev. Bill Odom officiating. Arrangements are by Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
