Ebbie Ree “Mamma Fannie” Woods, 77, of El Dorado, died Saturday, July 26, 2008, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.

The daughter of Louis Bowman Sr. and Sarah Moore Bowman, she was born Jan. 3, 1931, in El Dorado.

She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, where she served as president of the Usher Board, president of the Pastor’s Aide, chairman of the Women’s Missionary Society, member of Circle Esther of the Women’s Missionary Society, member of the Senior Ladies Choir and church clerk for more than 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Dessie Bowman, Bessie Stockwell, Robert Mason, and Ocie Bluford.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Clarence “Dub” Woods Sr. of El Dorado; her children, Ola (Cliff) Johnson of Tulsa, Okla.; the Rev. Clarence (Jacque) Woods Jr. of Houston, Paul (Cassandra) Woods and Timothy (Deborah) Woods of Little Rock, Larry Woods and Mark Woods of El Dorado; a foster daughter, Dorothy (Norris) Ford of El Dorado; one brother, Louis Bowman Jr. of El Dorado; one sister, Ellen Jackson of El Dorado; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence Woods Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.

Public viewing will be held from 1 until 5 p.m. today and from 8 until 9:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will be at 2010 North Roselawn St.
