JERRY H. KUYKENDALL
Jerry Harold Kuykendall, 61, formerly of Stamps, died Sunday, July 20, 2008, in Pine Bluff following a brief illness.
He was born on June 21, 1947, in Stamps, the son of Jessie Dallas and Nena Kuykendall. He attended school at Stamps High School and graduated from the school in 1964. He later attended Red River Vocational School, where he completed a mechanics program. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was a long- time employee of Deltic Sawmill and later was also self-employed as the owner and operator of Buckner Grocery. He was preceded in death by both parents. Survivors include a son, Dennis Bingle and his wife, Sonya; and grandchildren, Dennis Jr. and Melissa of Stamps. Surviving siblings include sisters, Marjorie Helen Sparrow of Mesquite, Texas, and Jean Wilson of Ferris, Texas; and brothers, Dallas E. Kuykendall of New Braunfels, Texas, Billy D. Kuykendall of Websters Grove, Mo., Ray Kuykendall of Pattonsburg, Mo., and Darrell W. Kuykendall of El Dorado; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will meet with friends from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 25, at Smith Funeral Home for visitation. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Stamps, with Mr. Jack Webb officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home. |
