Raymond B. Hobbs, 89, of El Dorado, died Friday, July 18, 2008, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock.

Born July 25, 1918, in Dover, Ark., he was the son of George W. and Dolly Ross Hobbs. He served in the Navy Seabees during World War II, and worked in automobile sales with various Ford dealers in the area. Mr. Hobbs was a member of College Avenue Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Iona Morton and Virginia Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Russell Hobbs of El Dorado; two sons, George Michael Hobbs of El Dorado, and Mark Edward Hobbs of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Cathy Lynn White of Shreveport; and four grandchildren.

A private memorial service will follow cremation by Bailey Funeral Home.
