Kathleen Louise (Hale) Sims, 79, of Conway, died on Friday, July 18, 2008, at St. Andrews Place Nursing Center.

She was born on Nov. 14, 1928, in Fordyce, the daughter of Floyd D. and Estelle (Moss) Hale. Mrs. Sims was also preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Roy A. Sims, who died in 1993, and a daughter, Ginnie Zellner who died in 2003.

Mrs. Sims was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Conway.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Kathy Nugent and her husband, Dr. William Nugent, of Independence, Mo.; Debbie Farley and husband, Ken, of Idabel, Okla.; Becki Jackson of Conway; a sister, Johnna Rice and husband, Carl, of Little Rock; a sister-in-law, Tommie Hale of Conway; grandchildren Heath Jackson and wife, Mandy, of Marion, Tiffany (Jackson) McKinney and husband, Brian, of Tulsa, Okla., Robert Zellner of Spartanburg, S.C., MacKenzie Farley of Idabel and a number of nephews and nieces.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in the chapel of Roller-McNutt with the Rev. Jason Aultman officiating. Burial will follow in Copperas Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Mrs. Sims’ honor to the Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund; 150 Amity Road, Conway, AR 72032.
