Mary Jane Forney Murphy, 73, of Warren, died on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at her home.

Born on Dec. 4, 1934, in Lititz, Pa., she was the daughter of Raymond and Ella Keath Forney. She was a retired business teacher at Warren High School, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred Adams Murphy.

Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Murphy Freer of Fordyce and Becky Murphy Young of Monticello; two brothers, Ray Forney of Harrisburg, Pa., and Clet Forney of Lititz; one sister, Lib Huber of Harleysville, Pa., three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Frazer’s Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
