Bureau Meadows, 98, of Emerson, died Saturday, July 5, 2008, at Wentworth Place in Magnolia.

Survivors include a son, Hosea Meadows of Emerson; a daughter, Gloria Penn of Los Angeles; a stepdaughter, Novelene Doss of Morongo Valley, Calif.; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Henderson’s Mortuary Chapel, 614 Calhoun Road, Magnolia, with Dr. Wendell Colen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery in Emerson under the direction of Henderson’s Funeral Service.

Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. today at the mortuary.
