Bernice Spitler, 72, of Magnolia, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Timberlane Health and Rehab in El Dorado.

Born Aug. 15, 1935, in Marysville, the daughter of Willie Parker Davis and Joy Irene Greer Davis, she was a homemaker and a member of Marysville United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman O. Spitler; a sister, Robbie Bearden; and a grandson, Mikie Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Mona Teresia Leveritt of Louann and Brenda Kay Boyette of El Dorado; two sons, Robert Gregory Davis of Camden and Mark Randall Davis of Tucker; a sister, Melba Hicks of Rosston; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at Marysville Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Goza officiating and under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Marysville Cemetery Association.
