William Elige Temple, 85, of Warren, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.

Born Sept. 14, 1922, in Bradley County, he was the son of Lee M. Temple and Nannie Lee Miller Temple. He was a retired sawyer and a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Laverne Temple; daughters, Brenda Neely and Linda Ann Temple; a sister, Ann McGuire; half brother, Aubrey Temple; half sister, Doris Stanfield; a stepson; and a grandchild.

Survivors include five sons, Wayne Temple, Jerry Temple and Mike Temple, all of Hampton, Bill Temple of Harrell, and Danny Temple of Warren; three daughters, Bobbye Sue McEntire and Mildred Schmuck, both of Hampton, and Shirley Forrest of Wilmar; three brothers, James M. Temple and Pete Temple, both of Warren, and Edward Temple of Wilmar; one sister, Ouita Wright of Longview, Texas; six stepsons; four stepdaughters; 19 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Frazer’s Chapel in Warren. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Ingalls under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Frazer’s.
