Phillip McElroy, 80, of Warren, died on Monday, June 30, 2008, at Baptist Hospital in Little Rock.

He was born on June 14, 1928, in Memphis, the son of Burt Franklin McElroy Sr. and Don Nettie Hill McElroy. He was retired with 46 years of service with Arkansas Power & Light Co., and was a Methodist.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Fred Slaughter McElroy; a brother, Burt Franklin McElroy Jr.; and a sister, Mollie Jane McElroy Booth.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, in Frazer’s Chapel with the Rev. Wayman Mann officiating.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren.

Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
