Robert Alexander “Al” Rucks, 35, of El Dorado, died Monday, June 30, 2008, in Jacksonville.

He was born Aug. 11, 1972, in El Dorado, the son of Norris Smith and Annie Faye Rucks. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and an employee of Oaks Brothers Construction Co.

He was preceded in death by his father; his grandmother, Vergie Mae Rucks; and his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Smith Sr.

Survivors include six stepchildren, Jeffrey, Brandi and Justin of North Little Rock, Skylar, Tevin and Tiara of Fayetteville; his mother, Annie Faye Cunningham of El Dorado; his stepfather, Larry Donnell Cunningham of Hot Springs; two brothers, Kevin Cunningham of Jonesboro and Larry Cunningham of Jacksonville; and one stepbrother, Steven Cunningham of El Dorado.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery on Southfield Road under the direction of Andrews Funeral Home.

The family will meet in the fellowship hall at the church after the service. There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
