Judy Burnworth, 94, of El Dorado, died Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Hillsboro Life Care following a long illness.

Born May 9, 1914, in Cherry Valley, she was the daughter of Elisah H. and Allie Ellis Shannon. A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William Shannon; and her husband, Melvin L. Burnworth.

Survivors include a son, Melvin H. Burnworth of El Dorado; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home and will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Smackover Cemetery with the Rev. J.D. Weido officiating.

The family will receive friends from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
