Tammie Renae Upton, 41, of Smackover, passed away at her home Wednesday, June 26, 2008.

She was born Nov. 23, 1966, in El Dorado, the daughter of Otha J. Taylor Jr. and Rita Ann Holloway Taylor. Tammie worked for Dollar General Store in Smackover for many years, and then became a homemaker.

Tammie was preceded in death by her father; grandparents, Dale and Earline Birchfield and Margie and Otha Taylor Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Upton of Smackover, three sons, Timothy Roberson of Strong, Jake Roberson of Norphlet, and Logan Roberson of Smackover; one daughter, Madeline Beene and her father, Tommy Beene, of Louann; three step-children, Danny Ray Upton, Lindy and Jenny Upton of Winnsboro, Texas; her mother; Rita A. Ferguson of Strong; a sister, Becky Hines of Strong; two nieces, Annie and Alyson Hines of Strong; three uncles, Danny and Ricky Birchfield of Smackover, and Tommy Taylor of Washington, D.C.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels in El Dorado. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the funeral home with the Rev. Vaughn Blue officiating.
