Roy “Shorty” Willis, 67, of El Dorado, died June 25, 2008, at Medical Center of South Arkansas.

The son of John D. and Ruth Crawford Willi, he was born Sept. 6, 1940, in Mount Holly.

He was a member of Ebenzer Missionary Baptist Church in Strong, and a former member of Morning Star Baptist Church II in El Dorado.

He worked for Anthony Forest for 38 years until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Tom, Johnny Lee and Buster; two sisters, Lillie Mae Jones and Lucille Watts.

Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Willis of El Dorado; one daughter, Lois Jean Willis of Lewisville; and three sisters, Facie Jones of Milwaukee, Wisc., Hazel Tidman of Little Rock, and Lee McDuffie (Benson) of El Dorado.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3,at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Stigars officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemtery under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
