Patty S. Baumgartner, 74, of El Dorado, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the John Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.

Born Sept. 8, 1933, in Union County, the daughter of William Alexander “Boots” Dunbar and Fannie Mae Kinard Dunbar, she was a retired LPN for Warner Brown Hospital, a hospice volunteer, and a member of Mount Union Baptist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class, the Golden Agers and the Mount Union Quilters Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Baumgartner; grandson, Scott Dickson; and sister, Betty Hargett.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Dickson and her husband, Kenny, of El Dorado; a son, Rick Baumgartner and his wife, Marla, of Benton; three grandchildren, Todd Dickson and his wife, Kathy, of El Dorado, Amy Sample and her husband, David, of Benton, and Adam Baumgartner of Little Rock; and three great-grandchildren, Hayley, Emily and Ashley Sample of Benton.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at Old Union Baptist Church with Bro. Jim Kerr officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
