BOBBIE G. FESTAVAN
Bobbie Gene Festavan, 78, of Pelham, Ala., and formerly of Smackover, died Saturday, June 28, 2008, in Alabaster, Ala., after a brief illness.
The son of Tony and Fannie Festavan, he was born on Feb. 5, 1930, in Haynesville, La. He graduated from Haynevilles High School and worked in sales and sales training for numerous insurance companies. He was a member of Helena United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack Festavan of Shreveport, La.; sister, Mable Gagne of Derry, N.H.; and sister, Sybil Devlin of San Antonio, Texas. Survivors include his wife, Frances Jeanette Festavan of Pelham; daughter, Debbie Snow of Pelham; son, Randy Festavan of Helena, Ala.; daughters, Tammy Williams of Alabaster and Marnie LeSueur of Athens, Ala.; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Esthlyn Tucker of Shreveport, Janelle Goodwin of Birmingham, Ala., and Fairy Clements of Springhill, La. Funeral was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 30, at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Sims presiding and the Rev. Michael T. Edmondson assisting. A graveside service followed at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover, Ala., under the direction of Southern Heritage Funeral Home of Pelham.
