ERNIE L. PARKER
Graveside services for Mrs. Ernie Lee Parker, 91, of El Dorado, were held Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Red Wing Cemetery near Oak Grove, La., with the Rev. James Hayes officiating.
Mrs. Parker was born July 10, 1916, in Smith County, Miss., and died at her residence in El Dorado. Mrs. Parker was a former resident of West Carroll Parish in Louisiana, where she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Goodwill, La. She was a retired licensed practical nurse (LPN). She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wesley Parker; great-grandson, Cade Parker McShane; parents, Ward and Cora Ainsworth; and a brother, Menuard Ainsworth. Survivors include a son, Ronnie Parker (Judy); daughters, Susan Zumwalt (James) and Jean Welborn (Pete); grandsons, Mike Welborn, Eddie Welborn, Patrick McShane and Charles McShane; granddaughters, Rose Ann Kreuger and Brandi Boyd; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, W.C. “Dubb” Ainsworth and J.W. “Billy Joe” Ainsworth; sister, Lucille Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mike Welborn, Eddie Welborn, Patrick McShane, Charles McShane, Billy Boyd and Pete Welborn. Services were under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
