G.C. Mann, 90, of Huttig, died Monday, June 16, 2008, at Life Touch Hospice House.

He was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Carthage, Miss., to George Sumner and Verdie Clifton Mann. He had been a self-employed logger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Doyle Mann; a daughter, Linda Sue Mann; a grandson, Todd Richey; and a brother, Ralph Mann.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Peters Mann of Huttig; two sons, Larry Mann of Crossett and Charles Mann of Huttig; three daughters, Ouida Richey of El Dorado, Patricia Guyer of Pensacola, Fla., and Ester Faye Travis of Gulf Shores, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 19, at Pinewood Memorial Park in North Crossett with the Rev. Jimmy Bates officiating.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels in Strong.
