John Clyde Ricker, 76, of Hampton, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at his home.

He was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Waveland. He was a retired logger and a charter member of Plainview United Methodist Church in Plainview.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Loye Ricker and Evelyn Faye English Ricker; his wife, Esther McClure Ricker; two sisters; two brothers; and one granddaughter.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sue Ricker of Hampton, and Bill and Kelly Ricker of Morrilton; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Jo Ann and Gerald McMahan of Locust Bayou, Lori and Kenny Bishop of Wellington, Kan., and Karla and Chris Phillips of Norphlet; three brothers, Bill Ricker of Marysville, Calif., Bob Ricker of Calion, and Joe Ricker of Texarkana, Texas; three sisters, Nell Smith of Ashdown, Beulah Tramel and Eulurle Wall of Russellville; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 tol 8 p.m. Sunday at Benton Funeral Home in Hampton. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Johnston and Bro. Brian Ricker officiating. Burial will be iin Pickett Cemetery under the direction of Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
