Colvis Norsworthy Harman Norris Lovette, 99, of New London, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Oak Ridge Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 5, 1908, in Strong, and was the daughter of Livy and Sallie Walton Norsworthy. She was a member of New London Baptist Church and a member of the New London Senior Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and worked at McMillian Refinery for three years, Alpuent Printing Co. for three years and sat with the elderly for 16 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands, Walter J. Harman, Fred Norris and Louis Lovette; and a son, Dr. Walter J. Harman Jr.; six brothers, Baxtor, Lenord, Frank, Bunion, J.D., and Sam Norsworthy Sr.; and two sisters, Inace Norsworthy McPherson and Leanice Norsworthy Daniels; six nephews; Glen, S.J., Deaton, and Grottice Norsworthy, Lawrence and Oneal Daniels; one niece, Mary Sue Norsworthy Hill; and two stepsons, Tom and Louis Lovette Jr.; and one stepdaughter, Agnes Lovette Lowell.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Brewster Harman of Baton Rouge, La., two granddaughters, Dea Harman O’Rourke of Lake Charles, La., and Nan Harman Brinson of Atlanta, Ga..; one step son-in-law, Charlie Lowell; two step-daughters-in-law, Flora Lee Lovette Hooten and Aurella Lovette; five step-grandsons; four step-granddaughters; 10 great-step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Pollie Norris.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New London Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Diffie and Rodney Grice officiating. Burial will be in the New London Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels in Strong.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Strong.
