Rose Mary Moore, 53, of Lancaster, Calif., died Thursday, June 5, 2008, in Lancaster.

She was born July 11, 1955, in El Dorado, the daughter of John Fermon and Alfriza Matthews Moore.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in El Dorado and recently united with Wayside Christian Church in Lancaster. She was a 1973 graduate of El Dorado High School; attended Southern Arkansas University-El Dorado Branch and Lawton Business School in New Orleans, La.

She worked as a sales representative for Sears and as a teacher’s aide for Fairview Preschool. She was employed in accounts payable for Murphy Oil Corp. and a clerk for Big Lots while living in El Dorado. She was recently employed as an in-home care provider and for the Regis Corp. in California.

She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Moore; a sister, Alfriza Anita Moore; her paternal grandparents, John and Rosie Lee Mack, and her maternal grandparents, Jeff and Savannah Matthews.

Survivors include her mother, Alfriza Moore of El Dorado; a brother, John F. Moore Jr. of Palmdale, Calif., and two sisters, Melwyn J. Johnson-Primus and Lillie Ruth Edmondson, both of Lancaster.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church on Cordell in El Dorado with the Rev. Pierce Moore officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Homer, La., under the direction of Sims Mortuary.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. today and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
