Michael Pratt “Mikey” French, 34, of El Dorado, died Monday, June 9, 2008.

Mikey was born Jan. 15, 1974, in El Dorado. He was a technical representative for Nalco Company, was a member of Hillsboro Hunting Club and loved hunting, fishing and being with friends and family.

Preceding him in death are his paternal grandfather, James Roy “Pat” French; maternal grandfather, Mike Fletcher; and step-maternal grandfather, Dennis Hill.

Survivors include parents, James and Voniece French of El Dorado and Cheryl and Rob Whiteside of Gatesville, Texas; brothers, Michael Scott Marrable and wife, Angela, of Calhoun, La., James Carter French of El Dorado and Chad Touchard of New Orleans, La.; a sister, Kimberly Anne Washam and husband Jason of Dallas, Texas; paternal grandmother, Myrtle Pratt French; maternal grandmother, Joe Lee Fletcher; step-grandmother, Marie Hill; aunts, Shafta French, Minnie Lou McKnight, and Marilyn Ann Archer; nephews; Taylor Williams and Logan French; nieces, Courtney Williams, Kaitlyn French, Hannah Marrable and Jenna Marrable; and

numerous cousins and close friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2008, at Grace Christian Center with the Rev. Sam Shepperson, the Rev. Buzzy Sutherlin and the Rev. Gerald Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Hillsboro Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at the funeral home.
