Donald Wayne “Cotton” Martin, 67, of New Edinburg, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Camden.

The son of Lizzie Mae Parker Martin and the Abney Guy “Jack” Martin, he was born Feb. 22, 1941, in Lincoln County. He was a member of Macedonia Free Will Baptist Church and a retired logger and construction worker.

He was preceded in death by his father; a spouse, Virginia Nell Thompson Martin; two sons, Teal Wade Martin and Scotty Wayne Martin; and twin daughters.

Surviving include his mother; his wife, Rachel Barnes Martin; one son, Brandon Kyle Martin of Cabot; one step-daughter, LaDonna Hodge of Calion; three brothers, John Charles Martin of Camden, Frank Martin and Coy Ray Martin, both of New Edinburg; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Frazer’s Chapel. Burial will be in Reaves Cemetery under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home of Warren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
