Sylvia Delane White, 59, of Huttig, died Monday,June 2, 2008, at her home.

She was born Jan. 30, 1949, in Huttig, and was the daughter of Lavelle and Vera Little. She was a member of Litroe Baptist Church and worked many years at Luther’s Grocery in Huttig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George A. Little; and sisters, Ava Nell Colston and Rose C. Spells.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry D. White; a daughter, Jessica Bailey and her husband, Byron, of El Dorado; a son, James White of Huttig; and a grandson, Ashton Bailey of El Dorado; sisters, Anna Lacy Mulkey of Huttig, Betty Posey of Natchitoches, La., and Faye Monday of Farmerville, La.; a brother, Harvey Little of Strong; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Litroe Baptist Church in Litroe, La., with the Rev. Larry Emory officiating. Burial will be in Harper Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 9 p.m. today at Perry’s Funeral Chapels in Strong.
