Rodnie Leon Norman, 63, of Huttig, and formerly of Gary, Ind., died Monday, May 26, 2008.

The son of Curtis Leon Norman and Alberta Shutes-Norman, he was born Aug. 6, 1944, in Detroit. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1963. He retired from U.S. Steel in Gary. He was a master craftsman and an inventor.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Ira Norman; daughters, Dewanda and Latongie of Merrillville, Ind.; two brothers, Raniell Leon Norman, his twin, and Stanley Delane Norman of Urbana; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gary. Guy and Allen Funeral Home in Gary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation willl be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary, IN 46407.
