Rodnie Leon Norman, 63, of Huttig, and formerly of Gary, Ind., died Monday, May 26, 2008.

The son of Curtis Leon Norman and Alberta Shutes-Norman, he was born Aug. 6, 1944, in Detroit.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated from Gardner High School in 1963. He retired from U.S. Steel in Gary. He was a master craftsman and an inventor.

Survivors include his wife, Ira Norman; daughters, Dewanda and Latongie of Merrillville, Ind.; two brothers, Raniell Leon Norman, his twin, and Stanley Delane Norman of Urbana; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gary. Guy and Allen Funeral Home in Gary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation willl be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 2959 W. 11 Ave., Gary, Ind. 46407.
