George Thomas Taylor Sr., 76, of Stamps, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Pauline Brown Taylor; four children; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Glinder Taylor Walker of Bettendorf, Iowa; two sons, George T. Taylor Jr. of DalValle, Texas, and Eli Taylor of Austin, Texas; one sister, Queen Esther Curry of Shreveport, La.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A wake will be held from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. today at Henderson’s Mortuary in Magnolia.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Hollis Aubrey officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Stamps under the direction of Henderson’s Funeral Service of Magnolia.
