Wanda L. Robinson, 83, of El Dorado, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at the John R. Williamson Hospice House in El Dorado.

She was born Dec. 10, 1924, in Columbia County, to the late Othel Earl “Buddy” and Cranell (Plumley) Cox. She was a supervisor for the Arkansas Employment Security Division, a member of Jackson Street Church of Christ and a member of the Professional Women’s Organization.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanton Robinson; and her great-granddaughter, Ann Marie Grant.

Survivors include her son, Ben Robinson and his wife, Elizabeth, of El Dorado; brother, Earl Cox and his wife, Jimmie, of Waldo; three sisters, Bobbie McMillin of El Dorado, Mary Nell Nix and her husband, Jimmy, of Gentry, and Lilla Saxon of Magnolia; three grandsons, Phil Robinson of Blytheville, Brandon Robinson of Baton Rouge, La., and Stanton Robinson of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Katie Grant of Magnolia; one great-grandson, J.B. Grant of Magnolia; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Stephens Cemetery with Leon Watson officiating and under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.

Family visitation will be from 3 until 4 p.m. Friday before services at the funeral home.
