Valerie Mendenhall, 45, of El Dorado, and formerly of Malvern, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at her home.

She was born Dec. 4, 1962, and was a member of the Church of God in Christ. She was employed at Cook Littles Grocery Store in El Dorado.

Survivors include five sons, Justin L. Morgan, Debert T. Mendenhall, Tramain K. Mendenhall, Office D. Morgan, and Rashad Quientain Morgan, all of El Dorado; her mother, Margaret Williams of Camden; her father, Trozie Mendenhall of Malvern; two brothers, Lance Mendenhall and Terrance Mendenhall, both of El Dorado; three sisters, Kimberly L. Mendenhall and Consaelo (Connie) Mendenhall, both of El Dorado, and LaShelle Hicks of Camden; and six grandchildren.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Willow Baptist Church in Malvern with the Rev. Henry Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Perla Cemetery in Malvern under the direction of Brandon’s Mortuary in Malvern.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Malvern.
