Jeff Jones, 44, of Magnolia, died on Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Jacksonville.

He was born on Sept. 29, 1963, in Cowen, W.Va. Jeff was an avid fisherman, hunter and will be sorely missed by family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Jones; his stepfather, Jessie Rogers; a nephew, Stephen Wood.

Survivors are his wife, Julie Jones; a daughter, Tiffany Matthews and husband, Wesley; a son, Alcide Baudoin; his mother, Betty Rogers; grandchildren Vincent and Nathan Matthews, and Aubree Baudoin; sisters Stevie Welch and husband, Larry, Terri Farrell and husband, Greg, and Patti Moses and husband, Robert, all of Magnolia.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Monday in Lewis Chapel with the Rev. John David Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Almost Heaven St. Stephens Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home in Magnolia.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday prior to the funeral.

Pallbearers will be Alcide Baudoin, Wesley Matthews, Sergeant First Class Joshua Wood, Mike Powell, Michael Thompson, Richard Carter, Greg Moses, Larry Welch, Wayne Jones and Mike Jones.
