I was, in my not-too-distant past, a dedicated sun worshipper. I made daily treks to the tanning salon for 20-minute doses of high intensity UV rays, and my weekends were spent basking in the heat of a scorching sun at Lake DeGray. It took several weeks of this regular torture - and more than a few nasty sunburns - to tan my pale skin, but let it never be said that I am a quitter . . . my tan was enough to leave any Hawaiian Tropic calendar girl trembling in shame.
