Our son, Josiah, was diagnosed with a liver disease shortly after birth. The name of the disease is biliary atresia, which primarily affects the bile ducts and gall bladder. There is no known cure and no cause at this time.

Josiah had a successful liver transplant on March 21, 2008, at LeBonhuer Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and I would like to thank everyone for their words of encouragement, prayers and financial contributions. Everything that was done is greatly appreciated by my wife, Fern, and myself.
