I would like to respond to David Offutt’s letter of May 17, along with Gloria Story’s and Dianne Vandervoort’s letters defending Mr. Offutt’s views. Mr. Offutt is indeed a writer, but it appears he does little research before he writes. He stated that the United States ranks 37th among world countries in health care. Mr. Offutt provided information from the liberal activist Michael Moore movie, “Sicko,” via poorly done and biased movie full of unsubstantiated facts that have been refuted in the World Health Report.
