I write this letter in support of the Gene Wells family and the NAPA store. It seems that the city of El Dorado needs this property for the Civic Center, which is well and good. I support the Civic Center, but not at the expense of the property owners concerned. The fair thing to do, it seems, is for the city to compensate these people for the cost of relocating. If the property owners concerned choose not to move their business and instead close down, they should be paid a price that fairly reflects what they are losing, be it business or home.
