I am writing in response to several letters that were printed recently about the race for district judge. In particular, I was struck by the letter that praised Mr. Van Hook for his fairness and impartiality. As many who have appeared in his court know, this is often not the case. A few years ago, I was a victim in a case where the defendant was found guilty, but while Mr. Van Hook was hearing the evidence, he made hateful comments about me.
