Hammond offers proven leadership

The Parkview Neighborhood Watch Group would like to express their appreciation to Dianne Hammond for her enthusiastic assistance in helping identify and initiate the resolution of some of our most pressing neighborhood problems. Dianne has strong interest in helping improve our neighborhood and provided valuable insight and guidance at our monthly neighborhood meetings. This voluntary assistance shows the type of leadership behavior we expect of our elected officials, for more important reasons we are pleased she is seeking another term in the upcoming election.

The city of El Dorado is at a critical cross roads, and the importance of the upcoming election can’t be overestimated. When we go to the polls May 20 the citizens of El Dorado will vote whether to tolerate continual decline in neighborhoods civility as the law-abiding citizens faced with crimes, burglary, theft, vandalism, illegal drug sales, intimidation of residential streets - our children view, emulate and frequently participate in.

Our police department is forced to struggle with an insufficient budget, work short handed and truly need all of our help and support.

Our civic leaders in public office need to inspire and guide citizens and provide infrastructure for making necessary changes via neighborhood self improvement programs.

Dianne Hammond has already proved her leadership in such a program in our neighbor and is expected to be but a precursor of an even stronger role she has indicated should citizens of El Dorado re-elect her to Ward 4.
