Thank you, each and every citizen of El Dorado, for publicly honoring Lillian Thompson. There is no one more beholden to Ms. Thompson than my parents and me.

When I was a child, some 65 years ago, Lillian worked across the street (East Hillsboro) from my house. I can recall her saying “Get out of the street before I tell your mother” and asking “Are you supposed to be picking Mr. Whitten’s flowers?”
