PATSY MCKNIGHT

Patsy Williams McKnight, 89, was born in Union County on Nov. 26, 1928 to the late Charles Cleet and Cecile Mason Williams. Patsy left this worldly home on Sept. 22, 2018 to join her Heavenly Family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 55 years, Dewey James McKnight; and her brother, Rodney Williams.

Patsy is survived by her two sons, Jim McKnight (Debbie) and Mike McKnight; three grandchildren, Christopher McKnight, of El Dorado, Casey Mcknight (Tish) of Smackover, and Shane McKnight (Tiffany) of Benton; eight great grandchildren and one great, great-grandchild; three sisters, Sylvia White, Janet Miller (Kenneth), and Alice Mahony of El Dorado; and one brother, Frankie Williams (Dianne) of Haughton, Louisiana.

She was a member of Caledonia Baptist Church, where she served on numerous committees, and a charter member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Patsy and husband, Dewey, were avid campers, touring Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas and had a “Camp” home on Lake Claiborne.

She was known for her homemade biscuits which she always mixed up while whistling. She made beautiful afghans, crocheted scarves and Christmas ornaments for many family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at Perry’s Funeral Chapels from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at Caledonia Baptist Church with Bro. Sam Whitlow officiating. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels. Grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Olive Branch Cemetery C/O Kevin Hux, 412 Mt. Moriah Rd. Junction City, AR 71749.

The family will be at the home of Jim McKnight 200 Nick Springs Road, El Dorado, AR 71730.
