City Arrests:

• Walter S. Eisenburg, 37, of 112 Hollow Tree Circle, was arrested Sept. 13 for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and on Arkansas Parole Board and Union County Sheriff’s Office warrants for absconding and failure to appear, respectively. Officers conducted a traffic stop after spotting a vehicle without a license plate traveling south in the 700 block of Timberlane. Eisenburg, the driver of the vehicle, told police his driver’s license had been suspended. He was taken into custody after police learned of the two active arrest warrants, and during a search of the vehicle, officers recovered methamphetamine, digital scales and several syringes.

• James D. George, 27, of 804 N. Yocum, was arrested Sept. 13 on a warrant for parole violation.

• Johnny L. General Jr., 50, of 941 S. Jackson, was arrested Sept. 12 on a warrant for failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements.

• Germonie T. Holmes, 25, of 2202 Houston. was arrested Sept. 8 for aggravated assault on a family or household member, residential burglary and third-degree assault. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 3700 block of Edgewood, and upon arrival, a small child told officers that his father, later identified as Holmes, was bleeding. Police said Holmes complied with commands to exit the residence. The child’s mother told officers that Holmes attempted to kick in the back door after she refused to allow him inside, and she called police as he was kicking the door. She said Holmes then busted a window in the door, cutting his arm in the process, and entered the residence. She said she ran out the front door and to a neighbor’s house, where she again called police. She noted the child’s older sibling was also inside the residence at the time. Police said Holmes was treated at Medical Center of South Arkansas and then transported to the Union County jail.

City Reports:

• A woman told police Sept. 15 that her ex-boyfriend broke into her residence in the 800 block of North Yocum. The woman she and her 3-year-old son were asleep when the suspect broke in and walked inside the bedroom,wearing blue jeans and no shirt. She said the suspect asked her if he could stay at the residence and why she would not answer his calls. She said she ordered him to leave and he got into the passenger seat of an SUV and left the area. Police said the front door of the house was broken from the frame. The woman told officers that the suspect had broken into the residence four days earlier and that he had previously been banned from the property.

• A woman told police Sept. 14 that someone entered her vehicle at her residence in the 500 block of North College and stole a pair of wireless headphones.

• A woman reported Sept. 14 that someone entered her vehicle at Hudson Senior Center, 900 Green, and stole a roll of quarters ($10).

• A man told police Sept. 14 that he saw a man jump a fence at Memorial Stadium and enter a restricted area behind the east bleachers. Moments later, the man ran north across a baseball field at the Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado, the complainant said. Upon investigation, police discovered that someone had broke into the concession stand on the east of the stadium. They contacted an El Dorado School District official, who confirmed that four bottled soft drinks were missing. A suspect was identified and the complainant later told officers that the suspect was walking south on North West Avenue. Police said they spoke with the suspect in the 700 block of North West Avenue, noting that he was drinking a soft drink and had two bottled soft drinks in his back pockets. Police said the man was also eating a chocolate wafer bar. The man told officers he had purchased the items at Missile Mart No. 7, 1419 N. West Ave. An employee said the man had entered the business earlier with a soft drink and purchased three chocolate peanut-butter wafer bars. The employee said the suspect did not purchase any soft drinks.

• A woman told officers Sept. 13 that someone fraudulently used her identity to order an item from Figi’s Gallery, and there was a delinquent balance of $159.

• A man told police Sept. 12 that someone broke into his vehicle at Rainwater Wholesale, 935 W. First, and stole a vapor pen. He said the suspect(s) threw a brick through a window in the vehicle.

• On Sept. 12, a man reported that someone broke into his vehicle at his residence in the 1100 block of West Oak. Reported stolen were the CD player, three nail guns, two palm sanders, a reciprocating saw, skill saw and a bucket containing various hand tools. The man provided possible suspect information.

• Officers responded Sept. 12 to a report of shots fired near the 1600 block of North Gray. A resident in the area said she and several family members heard the shots, and a witness reported hearing shots from what sounded like two guns, a shotgun and a pistol. The witness also noted that a white vehicle was driving toward the complainant’s residence at the time. Police said two shotgun pellets were lodged in an exterior wall of the residence and a spent shotgun shell was recovered from the front yard near the road.

• A man told police Sept. 11 that someone entered his vehicle at his residence in the 200 block of Oakhurst and stole an iPod and a remote garage-door opener.

• A woman told police Sept. 11 that someone entered her vehicle at her residence in the 1400 block of Helms and stole her purse, which contained a cellphone, two Social Security cards and three pairs of sunglasses. The woman said she later received a call from a woman notifying her that a wallet containing Social Security and insurance cards bearing the complainant’s name and three pairs of sunglasses were laying on the ground behind an apartment building at Oakhurst Apartments, 206 Oakhurst Blvd.

• A man reported Sept. 11 the theft of several tools from a house that is under construction in the 400 block of West Main. Reported stolen were two grinders, a chainsaw, miter saw, jam saw, power saw, hammer drill, staple gun, framing gun, router, tool bag and tool pouch, all valued at $2,045.

• A man reported Sept. 10 the theft of a four-wheeler from his residence in the 1700 block of Junction City Road. He provided possible suspect information.

• A man told police Sept. 10 that someone broke into his residence in the 700 block of West Cook and stole four video game systems.

• A man reported Sept. 10 that someone entered his vehicle at his residence in the 1200 block of Combs and stole prescription medication and a radio.

• A woman told officers Sept. 8 that her boyfriend struck her in the face several times, body slammed her and choked her. Police said the woman’s upper lip was busted and she had red marks around her neck and what appeared to be rug burns on her left knee. She also sustained an injury to her left arm, police said.

• A woman told police Sept. 8 that someone damaged her vehicle, which was parked at a relative’s house in the 2200 block of Lakeland. The woman said a friend told her that the vehicle had been repeatedly rammed by a pickup truck. A suspect was identified, according to a police report.

• A woman told police Sept. 8 that the father of her children put sugar in the gasoline tank of her vehicle. She said the pair argued, and he initially tried to slash the tires, but he was unable to because the blade of the cutting instrument was dull.

County Arrests

On Sept. 11, Harry L. Hull Jr., 38, of Strong, was arrested on charges of breaking or entering and theft of property. The day prior, Hull’s father reported that several guns had been stolen from a safe in his home. Hull Sr. said the guns had been stolen previously fairly recently, and at that point, he stored them all in a safe and stored the safe key in a separate location. Several of the stolen items were recovered at pawn shops around town. Several items are still missing.

On Sept. 11, Susan M. Foster, 40, of El Dorado was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine. During a traffic stop, an officer approached the passenger’s side of the vehicle, where Foster was riding. He noticed a glass jar with a crystal like substance sticking out of her shirt and asked what it was. She said there wasn’t anything in her shirt and tried to hide it, at which point the officer asked her to step out of the vehicle. She eventually handed the jar over and confirmed that it was methamphetamine.

On Sept. 13, Walter S. Eisenburg was arrested for failure to appear and a parole violation. After detaining Eisenburg, officers prepared to have his vehicle towed and searched the vehicle to make sure no valuable items were left inside. In searching the vehicle, an officer discovered a box containing methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

County Reports

On Sept. 8, a woman reported several items stolen and ruined by her former housemates on Caledonia Road. The woman said she was living with her in-laws while she saved money to move out. During the time she was living with the in-laws, she purchased a storage unit which she planned to convert into a domicile. She said she was keeping the storage unit on her mother-in-law’s father’s property across the street from her in-laws’ home with his permission. She said she and her mother-in-law started arguing frequently, so she decided to move out with her two children. She asked for an officer’s escort when she went to retrieve her property, and when she did, she found a lot of her household goods strewn outside of the storage unit in the yard. She said some items were also missing. The items missing include a 55 inch Hisense LED flat screen tv set, an air conditioning window unit, a blue children’s size couch, a memory foam mattress, a multi-colored children’s recliner and a Serta iComfort mattress.

On Sept. 9, officers responded to a call regarding a woman with suicidal ideation. The woman was seen trying to jump in front of cars near the Wildwood area. An officer gave her a ride home, where he saw her argue with her husband. Later, officers were called back to the woman’s residence with reports that she threatened to kill herself. The woman hurt herself and said she was upset because her husband’s mother threatened to keep her children from her.

On Sept. 9, a woman reported a hit and run. She said she noticed that her vehicle had damage while washing it that morning. She said she washes her car every Sunday and the damage was not there the previous Sunday. An officer noted cracked paint and what appeared to be black paint transferred to the woman’s front bumper.

On Sept. 11, a man reported that an oil well’s pumping unit had been stolen in the Old Union area. The man described the unit as a light green Cabot 114 model and valued it at approximately $20,000.

On Sept. 11, a woman reported a break-in in Strong. The woman said the residence has been vacant for several months and she believed someone had been staying there. She said she located several items of clothing that were not there when she had last been. Nothing was reported missing.

On Sept. 12, a man reported a threat made against him. He said he was working with a woman who told him that she’d heard two men talking about how much money he has and how easy it would be to rob him.

On Sept. 12, a woman reported that her dog had been stolen from a residence in Strong. She said she posted that the dog was missing on Facebook and the person who has possession of the dog contacted her to tell her he was unaware that the dog had an owner. He said two other men had told him he could have the dog. The man returned the dog after speaking with the owner.

On Sept. 13, a man reported that someone in Huttig had threatened him. The man said he was at a hunting club and had to pass by the home of two people he’d had unpleasant experiences with in the past. The man said when he left the hunting club, the male resident of the home asked him strange questions in a stern tone and then threatened to kill him if he saw him in the area again.

On Sept. 13, a woman reported finding marijuana in her newly purchased home. She said she was checking out the shed at the residence and found what she thought was marijuana. Officers discovered several lights, marijuana leaves, planting tools, humidifiers and timers in the shed.

On Sept. 14, a couple reported an attempted arson in Norphlet. The couple said a man at their home, who seemed to be high on drugs, put food in the microwave for 34 minutes, causing what appeared to be a fire. Officers searched the property for the man and were unable to locate him. They did locate methamphetamine, a spoon with residue and a tourniquet, tools for smoking methamphetamine, were found in a shed they searched for the man in.
