West Side Christian remained unbeaten on the volleyball season Friday with a straight-set victory over conference foe Cornerstone Christian Academy. The Lady Warriors won the varsity match 25-7, 25-6, 25-6.
“We played against a young and rather inexperienced team tonight from CCA,” said West Side coach Adam Willett. “We stayed focused and poised throughout, and we played the game we want to and got another important conference win.”
Brooklin Pitard had 13 aces for the Lady Warriors. Anna Williams had nine aces and five kills. Lauren Land contributed seven kills as West Side improved to 5-0, 3-0.
The Lady Warriors won the JV match 25-18, 25-27, 15-11.
West Side's junior high hosts Ridgway next week.
