A second required public hearing pertaining to two recent Arkansas Economic Development Commission projects will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. The hearing will be held in the third floor quorum court room in the Union County Courthouse.

The purpose of the hearing is to inform citizens of the current status of projects that Clean Harbors and Conifex have completed. Also, oral and written comments regarding the projects will be accepted at the hearing.

The Conifex project took place last year at the time of their startup. The Clean Harbors project was funded in their expansion project for their second incinerator.

The first public hearing was held at the beginning of those projects, with the funding agency requiring two public hearings to inform interested citizens in the completion of the projects.
