Two people walked away unharmed after a collision on Highway 167 on Friday morning.

The accident occurred at about 9:10 a.m. Friday with a Barker’s Steel Warehouse semitrailer and a pickup truck.

State Trooper Justin Harmon said the semitrailer was crossing traffic eastward when the northbound pickup truck collided with it. The semitrailer was pulling out of Barker’s Steel at 9193, 3980 Junction City Highway and headed to a lot across the highway, he said. Harmon declined to release the names of the drivers involved.

Neither driver was severely injured and neither sought medical attention from the scene. Harmon said the accident was still under investigation by the Arkansas State Police. The Union County Sheriff’s Department also responded to help direct traffic around the section of highway that was blocked by the semitrailer.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.
