Trojans, Gators halted by weather

FOREMAN - Inclement weather brought a halt to Friday’s contest between Parkers Chapel and Foreman.

The teams were able to play the opening quarter before the game was postponed.

The game will resume at 7 p.m. tonight with the Gators holding a 21-0 lead.

The Gators, the defending 2A state champions, entered off of a bye week and are coached by Mark King, who led Parkers Chapel to their first two playoff appearances and lone playoff win during his tenure.

Parkers Chapel coach Jacob Midyett played quarterback in King’s first season with the Trojans.

The Trojans came into Friday’s game on a high note, as they came from behind to down Lafayette County in their home opener last week.
