EHS, PC tennis teams collect wins

El Dorado’s tennis teams dominated Hot Springs Tuesday. The Wildcats swept their four matches while the Lady Wildcats won three of four contests.

In boys singles, El Dorado’s Gage Reed (8-3) and Evan Brooks (8-2) posted victories. Gary Gauthier and Carson Ricker led the boys with an 8-1 win along with Adam Smith and Ryan Coan (8-1).

In girls singles, Shannon Huang dropped a tough 8-5 decision. But, Emma Thomas won 8-1 in singles.

The teams of Josie Dumas and Kendal Bonsall (8-0) and Kaleigh Nale and Madilyn Bonsall (8-0) won lopsided matches.

PARKERS CHAPEL - Parkers Chapel hosted Emerson in tennis action on Tuesday. The Lady Trojans won 5-1 and the Trojans swept all six matches.

In girls singles, PC’s Drue Thomas (6-1) and Rebekah Hardy (6-0) won while Stinson Battisto fell short 7-5.

In girls doubles, Ali Looney and Kenlee McAuliffe won 6-0 with T.K. Burson and Macie Wood (6-0) and Molly Housdan and Lexi Moss (6-2) also posting victories.

In boys singles, Heath Bates (6-0) and Spencer Frisby (6-0) won easily while Chase McHenry had to go to a tiebreaker, winning it 7-3.

In doubles, Michael Brotherton and Payne Williams (6-0), Thomas Hardy and Jordan Arrington (6-0) and Josh Arrington and Austin Looney (6-0) won in dominating fashion.
