Shirley Kay Lott Singley Cole was born February 23, 1925, in Laurel Mississippi, to Myrtle Holcomb Lott and Hubert Lott. She passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at her home in El Dorado, surrounded by her loving family and caregivers. She married Marvin Glenn Cole in Shreveport, Louisiana, on January 21, 1951. They recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Cole Bechtelheimer.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Cole, her daughters, Gay Bechetlheimer (Russ) and Sheen Watkins (Dave); her grandson, Trey Bechtelheimer (Lisa); and her great grandchildren, Sloan and Rob. The family is grateful for the care given by Ms. Shirley Gray, Mrs. Tameka Malone, and Life Touch Hospice.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, in the chapel of the First Baptist Church. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Young’s Funeral Directors.
